About the Coach
Paul Fleschler is the owner and Head Coach of RedRocks CrossFit established in September of 2009. Paul has been a lifetime "gym rat" dedicating the majority of his time to Olympic Weightlifting. Upon completion of his Level I CrossFit certification, Paul affiliated to better serve the CrossFit community in teaching and applying the Weightlifting movements to the CrossFit arena. In doing so, he unexpectedly kicked his own ass.
Coach Paul also runs Front Range Sports Performance & Fitness out of the same facility in downtown Colorado Springs. The main focus of Front Range SPF is to enhance the performance of clients through various training methodologies including speed, agility and power training, through the implementation of Weightlifting and Crossfit methodologies. Injury prevention and core stability also play a significant role in the workout regime.
Paul earned a masters degree in Motor Control and Learning from Indiana University, is CrossFit Weightlifting certified, is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and USA Weightlifting Senior International Coach where he has represented the United States at several international weightlifting competitions as Head and Assistant Coach.
As an athlete, Paul’s greatest honor was representing the United States at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in Weightlifting. Paul is the former Men’s National Coach for USAW and the former Men’s and Women’s Resident Coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He also served in a supportive role for USA Weightlifting at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
Before moving to Colorado in the summer of 2001, Paul served as the Head Strength Coordinator for Indiana University Basketball. In addition to working with Coach Bob Knight’s basketball team, Paul assisted with 20 other varsity sports at IU.
